Men’s Basketball
The team officially opened its season over the weekend in Montgomery, Alabama, at the Huntingdon Classic. In game one against Berry, the Panthers started hot but were outscored in the second half, sending the game into overtime. They eventually fell 88-83. In Sunday’s game against Millsaps, LC fought an uphill battle but secured a 68-67 win.
Women’s Basketball
In its inaugural game of the season, the Panthers came up short against Emory 79-57. The team bounced back with two weekend wins at the CCS/SAA Classic in Rome, Georgia. LC claimed the season’s first victory Saturday over Berry, 83-70. The team completed a clean sweep over the weekend with Sunday’s 77-50 success over Sewanee.The convincing win saw everyone on the bench contribute.
Football
LaGrange closed out the 2022 season with a 55-7 loss Saturday at Huntingdon. The Panthers fell behind early in the contest and never found their footing against the Hawks. The lone touchdown came on a short pass from Shedrick Lindsey to De'Queze Fryer. The Panthers end the season 1-9
